  • Under normal conditions, your skin is able to help and heal itself well, but that doesn't mean that it's invincible. The protective skin layer always needs maintain a certain level of moisture and grease to function properly. Only if this is given, it's elasticity and closed surface can prevent potentially harmful substances to pass its barrier.

    No matter how good you pre-protect, care for your skin after your workday is equally important. After cleaning your skin thoroughly, make sure you always fully dry it also between fingers and use a moisturising cream, which is fast absorbed into your skin.

    When you are getting body protective clothing, you should pay attention to obtain good quality material that is made of lightweight breathable fabric to prevent overheating and allow a comfortable working. Pay attention also to the right product classification for your work task.

  • Gloves

    For most paint shop tasks, gloves made of (or covered in) nitrile-rubber or vinyl protect against many solvents. Make sure that your wear them for work tasks like filler mixing, weighing and mixing paint or paint / filler application. Gloves should also be worn when working with water-soluble materials.

    Bodyshop workers need to protect their hands from mechanical injury like cuts and from chemical influences from oils, adhesives, cleaners, sealants etc.

    A wide range of gloves is available for the individual task at hand, always make sure you take the right type and change them according to task required.
  • Safety Shoes

    Safety Shoes for your work should be robust and electrostatically dissipative. Particularly in spray booth or areas with metal grids, they need to be worn. When working with any heavy items that could potentially drop, steel toe caps also are recommended.
